During my final semester, I had the privilege of interning at my university to assist with editing an Open Access Resource (OER) book on experiential learning, slated for publication next year. This project began with in-depth research, including reviewing fourteen peer-reviewed articles and analyzing the seven most relevant to the book’s focus.

Building on this research, I developed a comprehensive style guide to streamline the editing process. The guide detailed chapter layouts, including headers, subheaders, and design elements like tables and in-text citations, while also offering practical steps and suggestions for professor submissions.

My primary goal was to equip the professors with a resource to ensure efficient first-round edits. This guide also enabled me to provide precise feedback on submissions, enhancing the team’s overall workflow. The results have been promising, with the document proving effective in supporting a smoother editing process.
