Single Page Document: Flyer

Client: Mrs. Tammy’s Music School
Skills: Single Page Design, Document Design, User-Experience
Tools: InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Canva

As part of a Document Design course, we were tasked with creating a single-page design document (front and back). The assignment involved analyzing the design flaws of a problematic flyer and redesigning it into an appealing and informative piece that aligned with the client’s company goals and mission statement.

To design a flyer that would inspire participation, I used primary colors to convey a child-focused theme, encouraging parents and children to engage with it. I incorporated photographs of children enjoying music lessons, showcasing expressions of personal empowerment. To highlight the client’s features and benefits, I organized the information into bullet points within a bright orange block for easy visibility. Lastly, I strategically placed all essential details in the bottom right corner, a location where adults traditionally look for key information, to enhance the user experience.

As an added bonus, I noticed the client lacked a logo, so I used Canva to create one. The logo integrated primary colors and a music symbol, ensuring it was both on-brand and visually engaging.
